Improving the Realism

Post by Junior » Tue Feb 01, 2011 4:31 pm

While thinking of how realism could be improved in D-Day, I think the thing that stands out most is the 100% fatality of a sniper shot, even if you hit the opponent in the leg. Furthermore, a single sniper shot will kill all soldiers lined up, 100% of the time.

May I suggest that a non-headshot sniper's bullet do from 20 - 200 health points of damage

[20 * RAND(10) ]

which would allow some chance of surviving a non-headshot, but very little chance of surviving two?

Subsequent soldiers lined up with the sniper's bullet would receive diminished damage, say a cumulative 33% less damage for each soldier it has already passed through.

Try air striking a sniper. It is funny.
