I thought that one of the big reasons why the germans didnt win was because hitler didnt want to waste time and rescourses on the high tech shit they were producing. Also we stopped them from producing their atomic weapons also.

seems like the axis were more concerned with what we were doing than producing machines of death! why so many recon planes?!

Of course the biggest reason the Nazi's lost was that Hitler didn't think France and The UK would go to war over the invasion of Poland. He thought after Austria and Czechoslovakia it was established they wouldn't. He had a pack with the Soviets. So he thought he would have a little war with Poland and was shocked that suddenly a European war was going on. So I think that goes under the heading of

The reason allies so much more of things was because the allies went with "quantity, not quality." Some of the kill ratios of tanks and planes are ridiculous, and in Germany's favor. The problem for the axis was even though their kill ratio was high, there were so many more allied machines being built they couldn't keep up.

I know, my grammer sucks, it's 3:00 a.m. (pulling a final all-nighter since school starts on Wednesday)

Actually France and UK did nothing till Hitler attacked France. War started in September 1939 and Poland surrender almost month later. French campaign started in may 1940 its damn long time…to do nothing. I wouldn’t be surprised if UK and France agreed for truce with Hitler after war with Poland if he ever asked for it. Why he lost the war…I think there are two main reasons…Battle of Britain and war with Russia.

Actually France fired shells into Germany and tooks a few square miles of Germany. But the act of going on a war footing meant the Germans felt the need to deal with it. Apparently Hitler just planned to fight Poland and leave it at that, then eventually take on the Soviets.

Lol yeah they did even more after they took some land then decided to retreat to Maginot Line even if France and UK had something around 100 divisions and Germany only 23 on the west boarder. However they planned to attack from the north trough Belgium something like Market-Garden but Belgians decided to stay neutral so the whole plan went down lol but being neutral didn’t end well for them either. Meanwhile UK conducts terrifying air raids on Germany dropping some propaganda pamphlets lol. I don’t know what Europe was thinking back then, that Hitler will feed he’s hunger and leaves them alone?! But Hitler was like Cookie Monster never had enough European cookies.

There was also a matter of preparation. While the French had a large military considered the best at the time the UK was still building. Chamberlain - who many mock for appeasement - was actually building the military that Churchill would get to fight with but it wasn't ready yet.

In addition I think they were of the hope that the Communists and Nazi's would in the end break their pack. Additionally the Soviets had more tanks than the rest of the world combined, several thousand planes, millions of infantry. I think they thought that would cause the Germans to leave the army over there on the East.

But looking at it from the future, knowing there was no German Armor in the West, that the 23 divisions in the West were not even good ones or full strength, it seems to obvious to advance and destroy the Nazi party.

And as I said I have been finding out that Hitler was shocked that the West decided to go to war over Poland, and apparently the West was shocked at itself also.

And to think that all that equipment the German's commited to Poland would be almost useless in battle in a couple years. Mark III's, Stuka's, the gun on the tanks, were all becoming useless by late 42. Spend all that money and you got to spend more.

Sounds like going to dinner to me.
