Dissappointed with Diablo 3?

Try out Path of Exile. Its in closed beta right now, but the beta keys sell for $10US. Its very much like Diablo 2 in the atmosphere of the game and the actual game play. When its done it will be 'free to play'. The passive skill tree itself is fucking ridiculous. It has a large focus on character building rather than gear hunting the way Diablo 2 was. Damn good stuff.

POE is pretty awesome. You can use any skill with any class character in the game. The classes are much like the ones from Diablo 2 also. The cool thing though with the skills and shit is, say like you have a 'smiter' type character, you can also lay down curses, traps, frost/ice novas. It has war cries for christ's sake! The more I play the game the more I find its a game that mustve been made by a few guys that got tired of waiting for Diablo 3 and made their own version. It's in beta and it already has PVP things in it! Diablo 3 STILL doesnt have pvp!

Yeah, the new car smell has worn off. D3 removed all that was good about D2 and made the entire game about farming gear. Or buying it... Bleh. This looks a lot better, a lot like D3 should have been. Might consider getting it.

You still playin? I just got back into playin it here. Shit is fuckin wild!!! They've added so much since I last played. The support gems are bat shit insane, like multistrike. I'm doin something like 12 attacks per second. It's like diablo 2 on tons of cocaine.

There's no thrill in scrubcore and on the other side, I've never seen the endgame before. My highest character is a 54 Summoner Witch, 2nd highest is a 47 Power Siphon Witch.

As we did with someone else who also never play hardcore, we gave him a lot of gear to get started easier. My stash is completely full with a wide range of stuff.

I actually still play D3 from time to time.... but really, I am disappointed with it. I played a FUCKTON of the original Diablo & a shitton of Diablo 2. With the hundreds (thousands?) of hours I put into the first 2 games, I never actually reached max level with any character. With D3, I'm about to reach lvl 60 with a THIRD character. Also they've patched the game into easy-sauce.
