Possible DeV vs R

Boons and I have been talking about this for a while, and we think DeV and R should have (by now)..... a official squad match. Nothing has been set up, so I need some input from other DeV and R players such as:

Time and Date
Server
Who is playing
Maps
Special Rules
and anything else important or optional for a squad match

I hope this topic will help for will one day be a successful squad match.

I had so much more creative zing back when i was a total pothead. Damn real life responsibilities really hurt my dday+ progress. lol.

I have felt the urge to get back at something for this game. I really would get re-involved if we had an actual Developer Team to make something happen with the graphics...in a productive manner.
I know, now, i can't(or do not want to) do it alone.

Imo ``we`` (I say we but I have no idea how to do anything helpful here) could make improvements quite easily.. I say go with the `grittier`` style.. add some grain in the game.. If it looks like we gave it shitty graphics on purpose, it may look stylish. Its set in the ww2 ... ww2 is old.. older graphics may suit it.

So if I was any use as a coder (which im not) leave the graphics.. Focus on making the game a little better with different modes and such..

If I was a modeler.. then I would make the models and skins a little better.. but dont try and compete with bf2 graphics.. because well you just cant.

But gritty graphics dont mean models with giant webhands with plastic guns and toy looking nazi symbols all around.. odd looking bodies with skirts as uniforms.. haha.

(All) dday needs is some new models(weapon and player) and new maps. Maps of the caliber that have been put out as the likes of rabid gysp and fafness... delete dday1-5 as ever being created.. (or remake them) they do suck anus... infact server should not host any map that does not fit a certain standard.. if it sucks, it sucks. Dday2 just has good gameplay which could be easily copied with several small maps just like it, but made to look better.

Dday`s gameplay is great... just needs a prettier face.

When I first joined, all I had was coolnet. DDay maps and doomtown was the only maps that were played. I hated them. But now I think they are good.

fuck doomtown, thats one of the maps that caused me to stop playing for the most part. now doomtown2k6 on the other hand. thats a more well built map.....just the colors were a bit weird.
