Brushes with missing/half missing faces on compile

Any idea why this is happening?

I thought at first it was because two adjacent faces were no aligned correctly but even with care this is still happening.

Any fixes to this?

Your map probably looks bad and you should feel bad!

Wow its really nice to watch you working with quark there Boons and wow that map has a lot of buildings in it. Do you have a name planned for it yet ? Well when your ready to test it out send it my way. Also is this map made for EGLded?

If you wrap or align textures sometimes one will get tweaked and you can't really fix it. Best to redo the brush that they show up on. Pain in the ass. lol.

Hmm atleast I know how to fix them.. even if its time consuming. its just a bug then? Its very odd as I duplicate one prefab (that displays perfectly) then the new one will be messed up.

Another issue I am having is over a certain size when playing the map you teleport from one side to another. The map is not even very large at this point. Anyway to change/fix this?

I would suggest you place this in the mapping section, as that is where the mappers go.

Rog. Just trying to make it so people are not looking all over the place. Also as I have seen maps larger than what I am doing in play for q2 I was thinking its a q3.bsp issue... However I cant see why they would scale map sizes down for a newer engine :shock:

Considering maps like Overlord I don't think this would be the issue.

Ya there must be some limit that can be changed while compiling or something. Hopefully rabies can shed some light on this ;)

Make sure your map is centered on the blue lines to help stay within the limits.
