Re: Texture Requests
Yall want a good picture of straight dirt? I know how to get that! Also, darkstar, you suck. Any other pictures for textures you want for mud, dirt, grass I can get ya. I take my camera to work often for when I blast shit. So I can also get you general pictures for farm textures.

Re: Texture Requests
U try to make a good lookin map when u only have like 20 textures to choose from. But now that I think about it,it does kind of sound funny. But I ain't got the time or resources to make a GOOD texture
sigh

Re: Texture Requests
Alright, I'll try to remember to take my camera to work next week. What kind of stuff specifically you lookin for? I can do basic dirt, sand, turf, mud...but is there anything specific you can think of that youd like shots for?

Re: Texture Requests
I would like basic soil or dirt that you would find under your average grass. thanks. And try to keep the objects such as leaves, nuts, or whatever to a minimum.
Re: Texture Requests
You'd have to take the picture in a specific way for it to be usable. The camera angle should be perpendicular to the surface and it can't be taken too close to the surface or it won't be tilable. You'd want at least something like 6' x 6' of the surface to be in the picture, possibly more. So to make a good dirt texture you would somehow have to hover over the dirt by a good height and point the camera straight down. If you just go walking around taking pictures you'd be wasting your time. Walls would be a lot easier though.
Re: Texture Requests
I took some pictures around the house that Boons used holding my camera up as high as possible, pointing it straight down, do you think that is too close? Things like grass for example.

Re: Texture Requests
Well, lucky for me and you guys, I have a tractor to climb up into the bucket to get those desired parameters. Just ought to keep the shadow out I spose.

Re: Texture Requests
you can also go to websites that have these sort of pictures already done for you.. the texture pack I have created is a mixture, some are from me taking pictures around my house, others are from websites, others are edited versions of what rabies already had.
