I have already made the Stuka for Grim, but with a little cleaning it could work for the game.
And I have made an airplane once that I was pretty satisfied of, I think it was a WW2 bomber plane.

I think for the allies it should be the B-25 for something small. And for the marines It should be the SBD or TBM or a battle ship. Or like a map like invade 1 or a large beach map could be a battle ship.

Stuka, I'm thinking of redoing the body (cockpit etc)
I just did the wings and I'm very satisfied with those.

And a dive-bomber needs bombs, right?

The airplane I mentioned earlier is apparantly the Savoia SM81 :)

It needs wheels and bombs, but it looks like those can be copied from the Stuka. Those kind of wheels and bombs seemed popular at the time (well I guess they were allies..)

A suggestion..
Most of the time it's easier to unwrap the model as you build it. It can be very difficult to select faces and even harder to unwrap, particularly cylindrical shaped things, when they are not square or parallel to an axis.
Be sure to make groups, too. For unwrapping and possble animating.

For some reason the model isn't showing.
When I remove the tris.md3 from the folder the old plane gets shown.
When I put the md3 back in the folder I don't see any plane. I only see the bombs drop.

I tried resizing the model and I did a quick unwrap and made a yellow texture to test the position and to see if it worked or not. But I get nothing.

I imported the md2 in the ms3d file to position and scale the plane, then I deleted the md2 and saved the model as md3.

Anyone an idea?

I can't get it to work and I've just spent another hour trying to figure it out. I've found some tutorial but I'm doing exactly what it says and it won't work.

When I open the tris.md3 model in LithUnwrap it automatically detects the skin and overlays it, but in both NPherno's MD3 viewer and EGL the skin doesn't show (and the airplane is thus transparant).

I've created a 24bit TGA and 32bit TGA to test and they both don't work.

Rab,d, can you show me how I can get my airplane yellow ingame? (step by step)
Let's not waste time by saying "somewhere over there, you'll have to find out yourself" if you already know how please.
