ive got things going ps the field of beach that the allies have to cross will be much ore different much more wide and open like the actual dday castrators was too unreal what bunkers were that close to the beach

I've put pictures online from Omaha beach, Boons has the link. Have a look at them for good reference. And actually one of the pillboxes was really close to the beach. It was just low tide so it seemed further away.

i put a gun emplacement at the left may put 1 at the right cause the distance of the beach is far

There are about 20 Omaha maps out there. And the wide open thing will get you the same wide open problem you had before.

nah i did a full compile took less than a minute is not that open and wide anyway this is dday2, where no ohama maps exist boons got dday2 (or should i say st mere eglise) and i got dday1 which is supposed to be the omaha beach map

anyway i got 25% of dday1 done when i finish i really have to retexture everything cause we really dont have a good supply of good textures anyway anyone else get this? how do i get rid of it is it my engine or the map talkin about the black lines

anyway got the structure of the trenches and no where the objectives are and what they are gonna be

i have a problem it says i need base_wall03 when i dont even have it in my map i checked everywhere

Working water shader.

Just unzip in your first dday folder C:/dday for me.

The first one is moving water- like waves. you will have to set the other surfaces as nodraw to get the full effect.. and place the poly in a smart location (taken from rabids original shader.. but fixed.) and the next one is just still water.

Let me know if you have problems with it. As it works fine for me.. and it is my first shader :D the texture was created by me.. Let me know what you think.

make sure you add boon_water_1 into shaderlist.txt and shdlist.txt respectively or they will not work as water.

any one have a good pic for dday? i mean the actual dday the one with omaha beach and stuff i want to use it for the picture when the map loads as u can seee in the picture anyone got any good ones?

look in the /maps folder of this file. This is what the loading pics for each map should look like.

Get your map completed then worry about this. Then take a sweet screenshot and make it from that.

would it be in anyone's interest if i posted pics..... probably not... if u did see pics u would laugh either cause m too slow or my map is looking bad in its current state? who knows

i cant get sounds in my map i used target_speaker and used a wav file in the dday2/sounds folder and volume is 1.0 spawnflags is 1(meaning looped_on) and it has no target or targetname.help...

oh and i would like to add fog but im guessing that would need a texture or somethin like that just a real thin fog

and can i get barbed wire shader or model i would do it myself xcept i cant. and can u use a model in a func_wall? ift u cant use model in func_wall then i would just like shader.after all... u cant have omaha beach without barbed wire.... although the orig dday1 didnt have any
