Yes it is. Rules don't say anything about nadejumps.

http://ddaynormandy.com/dday/index.php?page=serverrules, and used to be the "official" site.
Rule #3

It is UTTER BULLSHIT that this rule wasn't mentioned at this page:
http://www.ddaydev.com/site/docs.php?go=rules

EDIT: It was also mentioned in the French community:
http://ddaynormandy.keumforum.com/Les-r ... eu-h19.htm

"Les saut à la grenade ou nade jump :
Cela consiste à faire des bonds de géant en se servant des grenades comme d'un moyen de propulsion pour atteindre des zones inaccessible. C'est rarement toléré."

Which means something like, nadejumping is using a grenade to propell yourself to get to inaccessible spots, it's rarely tolerated.

FAFS, if you're reading this, and I'm sure you will, I'd like to request you to add the rule to the ddaydev rules page, or do I have to use bugtracker for that too xd

Extra information: if this game is all about realism with the no-crosshairs and stuff, I don't see why an anti-nadejump rule wouldn't be added. I'd like to see some footage of actual WWII soldiers performing a nadejump to get over the Normandy breach..

sorry but I like nade jumping on occasion :D I will leave this up to individual servers/admins to decide or you can make it a rule on your own for clan matches.

The nadejumping rule means, that in DDay (or Quake 2 altogether) you can circle jump to gain a bit of momentum, if you throw a grenade in that momentum it flies much further. Fafner has rendered this rule pointless because grenades now have a long throw mode.

There is ambiguity, because nadejumping also means throwing a grenade to propel yourself, which is not what the rule on ddaynormandy.com means.

Shit, didn't read that right.
Anyho', I find it quite 'awkward' that faggotry like bunnyhopping is not allowed, yet faggotry like nadejumping is. It's quite retarded when you're at German side on Invade1 and suddenly one just flies straight across the beach x_x

bunnying is jumping
throwing a grenade and jump on it to get higher/further is also some sort of jumping

So I guess it's pretty much the same? A bunny is someone who jumps a lot, does it matter if he does it with a grenade?

Perfect solution for bunnying:
bind SPACE "+moveup; say I'm sorry, I won't do it anymore"

If you were there, you might be in a position to have an opinion about it.
