I think it sounds like a very good idea. And i think it will get played only if servers want to host it because thats the problom with the jap dll because barely anyone runs it and even if they do its for like and half an hour then thats it

People need to start hosting the jap dll!!!

Even if there is jap dll on server ppl dont want play it...few days ago i played on coolnet,max players and ofcourse dday2,3,4...after dday5 i changed to bunk and only 2 players played it and its not the first time...dont know why it heppens its really good dll but ppl want to play only dday2!

ultimately, if the intention is to just re-make essentially the same guns (that look a little different), make allies a slightly different colour, and release a few new maps, then it seems (to me) like ur giving yourself too much work. the novelty of a new .dll wears off very quickly. would seem like just releasing the maps would be the best thing to do. if ur happy to do all the work to have something a bit nicer at the end, then fair play to u, and good luck with ur .dll.

for the record, im not a very big fan of the russian dll, and i only think the gbr one is ok. i am, however a huge fan of the japanese one, but thats only to use the sword.

granted i am a huge voter for dday2, but its not like i dont try out the other maps, i just think the vast majority of them are terrible. most new .dlls or campaigns normally only add one or two half decent maps (some dont even do that).
