I just have to ask, on the top image, are two of those large guns pointing to the right, they look like they are pointing at the courtyard next to them. What is the terrain they are pointing at? Curious.

It's probably very close to water, maybe a peninsula. So coastal defence cannons or something. I think it's not really based on any historical place per se, even though Cesena is a real place.
