Type 89?

Post by [169th]Ken »

I was wondering how come the japanese .dll doesn't have the Type 89 knee motar. It is small enough to be carried by 1 person.

Hmmm it's more of a grenade lancher but I see your point...... Dday doesn't really like anything new in it's code

STILL IT'S NOT A MOTAR. The name knee motar was a bad translations. Because of the bad translations GI's Suffered Knee and leg injurys when they fired the gun from the knee or leg. IT'S A GRENADE LAUNCHER NOT A MOTAR!!!! It would most likly fire curved like the piat but have less range.

Lol, Ken chill. There ARE mortars in dday. You have PIAT, Polish mortar, Tanato's mortar turrets, etc. It can be easily done.

There was a lot of discussion at the time about this weapon. I am not sure why it didn't come out. Possibly a coding issue. A lot of work has been done since the Japanese dll came out, but at the time we did what we could.
