Udpated to Ubuntu 18.04 and getting "received Signal 11"

Hi there:
I updated Ubuntu distro to 18.04 from 17.10 and now I'm getting "received Signal 11" when running the game. It loads servers list, and it appears to load map files, but it breaks after loading last file.

I tried reinstalling libpng1.6 and libSDL2, no luck.

If I run it under gdb i get:

Thread 1 "DDaynormandy_li" received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0x00007ffff7fec2c9 in ?? ()

I'm using PowaBanga's GitHub release.
Any ideas?

Unfortunately I am a mapper and I don't know about this. Perhaps ask Fafner or Dirk to come by and post some information, just so it is available generally.

I think you will need to get the source and recompile to use the latest libs on the new system - without being at your computer, that is a guess. If there is any problems when building, GCC will squinny.

did you try to compile dday from the github?
Did you fix your issue?

I just installed Ubuntu 18.04 32bits in virtualbox to test that. It is really a problem that i will fix.

Maybe that I will need your help, if your are ok, to test the next release on ubuntu 64bits. Maybe you can just say Hello here or on irc if you are Ok

Can you perhaps make it a Flatpak? Then there would no longer be any problems regarding library dependencies.
